Is Death Stranding 1 on Steam Hidden? The Truth Behind the Missing Game
Death Stranding Returns to Steam Searches in 2024
Is Death Stranding 1 on Steam Hidden? The Truth Behind the Missing Game is not a bug, but a deliberate storefront choice. This version refers to the standard PC release running on Epic launcher via Steam Link. It appears missing because it requires manual launch outside the client.
Why Gamers Question Its Location Many players open Steam libraries expecting instant access. Research shows confusion spikes when games hide behind platform restrictions. Searches for "Death Stranding Steam hidden" often follow big Sony or Epic sales events.
How the Link Technology Works The game uses a URL shortcut tied to your Epic account. Steam acts as a doorway, not a host, so files stay inside another launcher. Studies indicate this method keeps installs lightweight while matching user libraries.
Clear takeaway: The game is on your account, just launched through Epic.
Why can't I find it in my Steam list? It hides to reduce clutter, since the launcher controls installs and saves outside Steam folders.
Is my save data at risk when playing this way? No, your cloud saves stay linked to your Epic account regardless of how you open the game.
